Looking back at the past years, Trend Micro can be very pleased with the growth of the organisation throughout Europe, and with the increased efficiency of our operations. But there is always room for improvement. One of these opportunities is the creation of a Benelux organisation, led by the former country manager of Trend Micro Belux, Steven Heyde.
Why is the newly build Benelux organisation a good idea? None of the three countries – Belgium, The Netherlands or Luxembourg – has a huge market. By joining forces, many new opportunities for cross-selling and marketing arise which, when acting separately, would never present themselves.
This is true for many smaller countries, but even more so for the Benelux region. Many of our (potential) customers and partners have a Benelux organisation and operation, so it makes a lot of sense to approach them with a Benelux structure as well.
The appointment of Steven Heyde as head of this new Benelux organisation was a logical choice as well. Steven has been instrumental in growing Trend Micro’s business in Belgium and Luxembourg, and we are convinced that he is the right man to continue this growth pattern with the Benelux organisation. Especially because he is no stranger to the Dutch office either, having cooperated with them as Benelux Sales Manager from 2009 to 2012.
Summarizing: we are convinced that the introduction of a Benelux structure will create new commercial opportunities and generate new growth paths. And we are confident that Steven is the right man to head this new structure. We wish him and his new team all the best of luck with this exciting new opportunity!
