A couple of weeks ago news came out that Iranian hackers compromised several Telegram accounts and identified phone numbers of 15 million Iranian users! This was the largest security breach the encrypted communications system has ever seen.
But isn’t Telegram supposed to be extremely secure being encrypted and all? Isn’t Telegram being used by journalists that want to work undercover and even by terrorists who want to communicate under the radar?
It is, but that doesn’t mean Telegram is flawless. The problem is quite simple: Telegram has some good security measures in place and is locked up pretty well. But the key is underneath the doormat, or in the flower pot if you please.
