IDC names Trend Micro as Global Leader in Corporate Server Security – for the 6th year in a row

Servers are the bricks and mortar of IT environments at any major organization around the world today. They do everything from process email, to serve up web pages, manage databases, and run applications. So it makes sense that server security forms one of the key pillars of any CISO’s wider information security strategy. And with the modernization of the data center and widespread use of the cloud, it makes it more important than ever to choose the right security vendor. It’s an increasingly crowded marketplace, worth over $800 million globally in 2014, according to analyst firm IDC.* But it’s one that Trend Micro has led for the past six years, thanks to a combination of continual technology innovation and a single-minded focus on customer needs.

That’s why we’re excited that IDC has once again named Trend Micro the global leader in corporate server security, with a global market share that has increased to 30.3% for 2014.
