VMworld Europe 2015: Bridging the Gap between Infrastructure and Security

VMworld-2015As IT-savvy readers surely have noticed already: VMworld Europe starts today! From 12 to 15 October, Barcelona will be buzzing with animated conversations around virtualization, cloud, software-defined datacenter and related topics.

At VMworld USA earlier this year, we have announced that we will further enhance our strategic partnership with VMware. We have been jointly developing future-proof security solutions for cloud and virtualized environments for many years. Plenty of reasons for us to go and attend VMworld Europe. Is VMworld Europe in your agenda as well? Make sure not to miss, then, the breakout session hosted by our Albert Kramer, technical director continental Europe, and VMware’s Jeremiah Cornelius.

Breakout session on 14 October at 2PM: “Evolving Cloud & Data center Operations with Security Management”
During this breakout session, Trend Micro’s Albert Kramer and VMware’s Jeremiah Cornelius will elaborate on how both vendors can join forces to help you bridge the gap between infrastructure and security.

They will demonstrate how a ‘Single Pane of Glass’ visualization of both infrastructure and security data, combined with the real-time correlation between infrastructure and security events and the automation of responses to security issues using operational workflows, will help you minimize the time between detecting a security incident and reacting to it. They will also discuss the overlap between the Infrastructure and Security department, and how to exploit this overlap for a quicker and more effective reaction to any security incident.

More information on this breakout session can be found here. If you have other questions or would like to find out more, do not hesitate to visit our Trend Micro Booth P205.

VMware Benelux Party
Obviously, VMworld Europe is also the ideal networking opportunity: getting to know each other while enjoying a snack and a drink. We are a sponsor of the VMware Benelux Party, and hope to welcome you there as well. Make sure to register early because we have a limited number of tickets.
